Throughout this season, Leicester Tigers and Global Payments have been visiting primary schools across Leicester talking about healthy eating and exercise.

Taking over each school for a week’s free activities, Tigers welcomed the latest crop of Healthy Schools Champions to Welford Road for the club’s final home game of the season last weekend.

Congratulations to:

  • Jack McKean and Pixie Bannister, Blaby Stokes Primary School
  • Alesha Willaims and Zahra Suleiman, Glebelands Primary School
  • Muhammad Moosa Asim and Ubaidullah Issa, Coleman Primary School
  • Emmet Ridegway and Inya Uddin, Overdale Infant Primary School

Ashleigh Theobald, health education officer at Tigers, joined the youngsters on the pitch for a photo with Tigers player Tom Brady.

Both were joined by Peter Bettles, director European products and schemes at Global Payments and Chris Davies, President Europe at Global Payments.

Global Payments Healthy Schools programme is a free initiative for primary schools. Pupils between years 3-6 can learn all about how eating the right food and regular exercise can help them lead a healthy lifestyle and stay fit.

To find out more information about the free programme or if you would like to book your school’s Healthy School week, please get in touch either by emailing [email protected]  or call 07970 619444.
