Matchday guide: Saturday at Welford Road

Leicester Tigers have a whole day of activities and events lined up for Saturday with Tigers In The Park from 10am and kick-off in the Kings of the North fixture against Newcastle Falcons at 3pm. Come and join us!Tigers In The Park is a free event for the family based on Nelson Mandela Park and the plaza outside the stadium and this year, as part of Kings of the North, the activities take a medieval theme.   Open from 10am, you can enjoy archery, sword-fighting, inflatable jousting, falconry and minstrel band at Tigers In The Park, plus facepainting, STIHL tackle bags, the Tigers Speed Pass Challenge, tag rugby sessions and lots more.   For more information on Tigers In The Park guide, click here.   On the pitch, Tigers return to Welford Road for the first home game in Tigers In The Park, against a Newcastle Falcons side led by Leicester legends Dean Richards and John Wells.   Tigers welcome back Tom Croft, Mathew Tait and Peter Betham to the matchday squad and director of rugby Richard Cockerill and head coach Aaron Mauger will also take the opportunity to look at combinations throughout the team with the new league season just over a month away. Team news will be released on the club website at lunchtime on Friday.   Kings of the North home fixtures are included in Tigers season tickets. For all other supporters, match tickets are available now. Purchase in person at the Tigers Club Store at Welford Road or phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2) (9am-5pm weekdays and from 9am on matchday) or book online at the Tigers ticket office by clicking here.   The Ticket office on matchdays is based on the plaza outside the MET-Rx Stand.   There is also ticket collection point on the plaza for all pre-ordered tickets.   The Junior Tigers Club is open early this week, from 10am, with activities for young supporters. JTC has more than 40,000 members and you can sign up any supporter under the age of 16 at a home game or online now. Click here for details.   Final Whistle bars and food kiosks will be open from 11am, with turnstiles open at 1pm.   On Saturday we welcome representatives of the Rik Basra Leukaemia Campaign, one of the club’s official charities.   Arriva matchday bus services on all routes are in operation on Saturday.
