There is something for all the Tigers Family at Tigers In The Park on the opening day of the season.
Tigers In The Park returns for the start of the new season on Saturday, September 6 and we’ve got some great new activities lined up during the build-up to kick-off in the Leicester Tigers match against Newcastle Falcons in Round One of the Aviva Premiership season.
Tigers main sponsors Caterpillar are hosting their Mini Excavator Challenge where supporters can take the controls, while Community sponsors Mark Group are hosting a kicking challenge and the StubHub lucky turnstile returns. Everards will be there too, adding a rugby element to the traditional coconut shy.
There is also live music from Stonepark, The Fallers, Chris Armson and The Zufflers.
Mini quad bikes, a mobile farm, birds of prey display, a fan zone and a big screen showing the best of Tigers highlights are also on the bill for the big day.
We will welcome BMX freestyler Matti Hemmings, plus inflatables, face-painting and activities for younger supporters, a visit from the Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Team and members of the Tigers squad.
Now in its fourth year, Tigers In The Park is hosted on the plaza at Welford Road and at Nelson Mandela Park opposite the stadium, and provides a free community event to celebrate the opening of the new Aviva Premiership season.
It starts at 10am and runs in the build-up to kick-off at 3pm.
The event is free to all, but supporters will need a ticket to watch the match. Tickets are from £18 adults and £8 for juniors and are on sale now from the Tigers ticket office now. Phone 0844 856 1880, call in or book online by clicking here.
The game, and all regular season games in the Aviva Premiership and pool games in the new European Rugby Champions Cup and LV= Cup, is included in a Tigers season ticket.
