Leicester Tigers are cleaning up on matchdays thanks to Leicestershire recycling company Bakers Waste.
As part of the club's commitment to recycling and maximising the reduction of waste going to landfill, Tigers have linked up with Bakers Waste Services Limited to encourage supporters to recycle as much as possible.
As part of the club's commitment to recycling and maximising the reduction of waste going to landfill, Tigers have linked up with Bakers Waste Services Limited to encourage supporters to recycle as much as possible.
Bakers Waste bins have been sited throughout the Welford Road stadium, with separate bins for plastics and other recyclable material.
"With big crowds for all of our games at Welford Road, matchdays generate huge amounts of material that is discarded but which can actually be recycled," said Leicester Tigers managing director David Clayton.
"The club recognises the importance of everyone cutting down on landfill waste and we hope that our supporters will take this opportunity to help the environment."
Bakers Waste director Paul Baker said: "Supporters would be surprised at how much can be recycled, especially in terms of plastic glasses and packaging."
