One million done... and not stopped yet

Leicester Tigers staff have hit two landmarks this week in the Million Metre Challenge issued by the Matt Hampson Foundation to keep active and promote physical and mental health.

Foundation personal trainer Sutty launched the Million Metres Lockdown II Challenge to help motivate beneficiaries, families and friends to stay active, with the added bonus of being able to raise funds for a great cause too.

Staff and directors at Tigers have been clocking their metres, with the cyclists collectively breaking the one-million mark and the walkers/runners reaching half a million. And there’s no stopping yet.

Whatever exercise you do, as long as you can measure the distance covered, you can take on the challenge too, and target a million metres by the end of lockdown while also assisting your own physical and mental health.

If you go for a walk, take the dog out, run/jog, ride a bike, use a rowing machine or home exerciser, every metre counts.
