The Past Players' Association will play their first game of the season when they take on Hallaton Barbarians in a charity match.

Steve Kenny will captain the team, known as the Droglites, and is set to be joined by the likes of Barry Evans, Stuart Redfern and Rob Tebbutt.

Angus Collington, chairman of the Past Players’ Association and a former Tigers back rower, said: “This will be our first outing of the season and everyone is welcome. It will be good to see how many of the players can maintain their peak fitness with their dietary regimes!”

The game will be played at Hallaton Recreation Ground on Sunday, September 27 (kick off 2pm) and will raise money for the Leicester branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The Past Players’ Association recently staged a cricket match against The Wheel pub from Oadby, played at Houghton on the Hill, in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and handed a cheque to charity representatives at half-time of Saturday’s Guinness Premiership game with Newcastle Falcons.
