A minute's silence will be observed ahead of kick-off at Welford Road on Sunday in memory of Munster head coach Anthony Foley who died last weekend at the age of just 42.

Foley was captain of Munster’s European Cup winning team in 2006 and played against Leicester Tigers in the final of 2002 before moving into coaching with the province who are in Pool 1 of the Champions Cup alongside Tigers, Glasgow Warriors and Racing 92 this season.

Tournament organisers EPCR have requested a tribute in his memory at all Round 2 matches in the Champions Cup and the Challenge Cup this weekend.

The minute's silence will take place at 5.30pm on Sunday just ahead of kick-off in the Tigers versus Racing match.

EPCR have also confirmed that the Munster match at home to Glasgow Warriors will be played as scheduled at Thomond Park on Saturday. This decision was made after close consultation with the Munster management.

The Round 1 fixture between Racing and Munster is to be re-arranged after its postponement in light of the tragic news last week.
