School teachers across the Leicestershire and Rutland are being encouraged to use a handy new tool to help enhance their lessons with the Premiership Rugby Champions App.

Leicester Tigers’ rugby development officers and community coaches deliver education programmes in schools across the #TigersFamily heartland, supported by the app as a useful tool for teachers to use during lessons.

Greggs Tackling Health is a five-week programme which educates youngsters about the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Alongside Tackling Numeracy and Tackling Character, teachers can access lesson plans and resources via the app and deliver them directly to students.

David McDonald, education and engagement manager at Tigers, said: “We’re proud to continue delivering engaging programmes to schools, clubs and under-represented groups across the UK despite restrictions caused by COVID-19.

“We want as many schools and teachers to be able to access our curriculum-based programmes and the Premiership Rugby Champions app helps us to deliver exactly this.

“Packed with video, presentations, interactive quizzes and much more, we can ensure that the Tigers are helping to educate the next generation.”

To find out more information about the app, or about getting involved with our educational programmes, please email [email protected] or call 07972 130 106.

You can download the app on Google Play or the Apple App Store. Or alternatively, you can access the sessions using this link PR Champions.
