Michael Cheika spoke to the media from Mattioli Woods Welford Road in the build-up to the top of the table clash with Bath on Saturday at The Rec.
The Leicester Tigers Head Coach previewed the match, away game mentality, and chatted about the reaction to the news from the club this week.
THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS
"I think their depth, across the park, is very good. I'm not going to discuss specific head-to-head battles here, that isn't for me as a coach of one of the teams to be doing," said Cheika.
"You know, ultimately, if you can outplay your opposite number, then you are making your contribution to the team. Maybe not always in that direct contest, but around the game and game plan. That is really important when you're playing a high-quality team like Bath.
"There are internationals throughout their side and they have obviously been in great form all year, so we know it's going to be a big challenge and if our lads go out, take on their opposite numbers, then we go a long way to being in the contest."
AWAY GAME MENTALITY
"I just think you've got to go in with a really good mindset," Cheika said.
"Some of the important things are to understand how to try and nullify the strengths of the opposition because then, what happens there is, you go towards keeping the crowd out of it, which is the advantage of playing at home, right..."
"If you can get in there and disrupt, try to disrupt the platform of the team, and what they build their game on, that is important. But let's not pretend it's as easy as that. You have to be your best, especially when it's up against a side of Bath's level and experience, who are sitting on top of the table."
THE WEEK AT TIGERS
"It's good news and I am sure the supporters are pleased, but now it's important that we stay in the present," said Cheika.
"We need to understand what's at stake for us here on Saturday because realistically, no one's challenged Bath this season. They have lost of a couple of games but they've been top of the table since day one and have been for a good reason.
"Our focus is the challenge we have ahead this weekend, going to take on the best team in the league at their place."
