As the Prima Tiger Cup returned to the home of Leicester Tigers last weekend, Crusaders RFC shared their Under-10s matchday experience - which included a first-ever visit to watch a live professional rugby game!
The club, based in Norfolk, travelled to Leicester to take part in the latest Prima Tiger Cup festival at Mattioli Woods Welford Road and the players, parents and coaches enjoyed a great day out.
With the chance to play on the famous pitch after the Tigers game against Gloucester, families came together to enjoy a day at the rugby and group-lead Abigail Ward shared the team's delight.
"For many, it was their first live rugby match", she said.
"It has brought them together so much as a team. Like all under-10s, their first experience of contact rugby has been really disrupted by Covid, so to be able to get them involved in this has been really special.
"Our club ethos is fun and inclusivity first, and the Prima Tiger Cup really embodies this for us.
"We brought every player who was available, every player had equal match-time and it's boosted confidence in many of our newer players."
