Swaffham RFC in Norfolk hosted eight teams in the second Prima Tiger Cup festival of the season on Sunday.Supported by Prima Solutions of Loughborough, the Prima Tiger Cup is a free-to-enter tournament for under-10s teams and the opening festivals of the season have already attracted 20 teams.
Teams representing Diss, Lowestoft and Yarmouth, North Walsham, Norwich, Peterborough, Southwold, Wymondham and a Barbarians side took part on Sunday.
North Walsham have been invited back to play in the Prima Tiger Cup qualifiers, while Wymondham will take a place in the Prima Tiger Bowl qualifiers, both to be played at Welford Road on the same day as a Tigers first-team game later in the season.
The Prima tournament features five qualifying festivals around the Tigers region with the next event scheduled for this Sunday (November 1) at Lutterworth RFC in Leicestershire. The remaining festivals are at Mellish RFC and Newmarket RFC.
