Richard Wigglesworth discusses the away win over London Irish in Round 18 of the 2022/23 Gallagher Premiership season.

Speaking after the match, the Leicester Tigers Head Coach couldn't hide his pride in the "fight" on show from his players to make it back-to-back league wins.

"It very easily could have gone the other way tonight and maybe should have done, but because of the fight in this group we got the result," he said.

"They keep turning up for one another, keep fighting for everything - together - and that was evident tonight.

"Only six days after doing it similarly last week, to fight again like that away from home is brilliant. This is a special result and I am so pleased for the players."

Wigglesworth was also complimentary of the wider-squad effort during a period that has included more than a dozen internationals being unvailable while away on Test duty or sidelined through injury.

"These past two weeks they gave gone out and shown what it means to them to represent this club and what it means to them to play together for Leicester Tigers," said Wigglesworth.

"It is more than just those who have played as well, it's the whole squad, especially with so many guys missing away on international duty.

"This group doesn't quit; they keep putting the shirt on and fighting for everything in it. I couldn't be prouder of them tonight."
