Leicester Tigers Academy were defeated 43-29 by Newcastle Falcons Academy at Kingston Park in the final round of the revised Under-18 League season.
Tigers fielded an all Under-17 matchday squad for the match, after recording two wins from the first three rounds of the campaign.
Back-rower Simon Koroiyadi scored twice to see Tigers out to a twelve-point lead after ten minutes before the home side crossed for their opening score and converted the try to cut the deficit to five points in the 13th minute.
Leicester fly-half Morgan Meredith extended the lead to eight with a penalty-goal in the 18th minute.
Newcastle crossed for back-to-back tries, converting the second in the 26th minute, to lead 19-15 with nine minutes remaining in the first half.
A try to centre Joe Woodward and conversion from Meredith in the final minute of the first half saw Leicester lead 22-19 at the break.
Newcastle crossed for their fourth try two minutes in to the second-half before adding three more successive tries to lead 43-22 with ten minutes remaining in the match.
A late try to Finn Carnduff was converted by Meredith, seeing the gap cut to 14 points with five minutes where it would remain.
