Matches in Round 21 of the Aviva Premiership are being dedicated to Restart Rugby, the official charity of the Rugby Players' Association.

Premiership Rugby and the RPA are aiming to raise £10,000 across the penultimate round of games of the regular league season to help players suffering from serious injury, illness or hardship.

They are also looking to raise awareness of #LiftTheWeight, the RPA campaign which addresses mental health issues amongst players and was launched earlier this year by Tigers scrum-half Jono Kitto.

One in four people in the UK will experience a mental health issue each year and rugby players are no exception. Restart Rugby supports players and their families during their most difficult times through a 24/7 counselling service.

Lachlan McCaffrey, Tigers’ RPA player representative , said: “We give everything for our clubs and the game. Restart Rugby is there should the worst happen. Join us and help #LiftTheWeight.”

To support #LiftTheWeight visit the Restart Rugby weeknd online auction to bid on signed club and England memorabilia, get limited edition Restart Rugby #LiftTheWeight T-shirt, as worn by clubs during warm ups this weekend and text LIFT17 £5 to 70070 to donate £5.
