Leicester Tigers fly-half Noel Reid expressed his disappointment at coming away empty-handed from Round 1 of the new Gallagher Premiership season.
“We started the game really well and scored early, but then we let them back into the game,” he told LeicesterTigers.com following the final whistle at Worcester.
“Our kicking game could have been better, as in these kind of games it comes down to a few points, and we left some out there.
“We had a couple of opportunities we didn’t take which was disappointing.”
But, after a last-minute Warriors penalty stretched the home lead to eight, Tigers would leave Sixways point-less.
Reid continued: “We were in the game for around 70 minutes, so it is disappointing in the way we finished.
“I certainly thought we were good enough to get something out of the game.”
