BBC Radio Leicester is staging a special edition of the Leicester Tigers Rugby Show at the De Montfort Hall as part of the festival of events to celebrate the Rugby World Cup and to raise funds for the Matt Hampson Foundation. On Wednesday, October 7, Martin Ballard will present a two-hour edition of the show featuring Tigers guests Paul Dodge, Louis Deacon, Tom Croft and George Chuter.
A junior choir will sing a new piece which has been composed for the event and a mass choir will come together to perform rugby anthems.
Leicester Tigers captain Ed Slater will also be joined by a number of other current players including Argentina international Gonzalo Camacho – whose partner Josefina Achaval will also be singing – and some more special guests will be added to the bill soon.
All proceeds from the evening go to the Matt Hampson Foundation which is raising funds to build a 'Get Busy Living' Centre in Leicestershire. Tickets are just £5 and are available from the De Montfort Hall Box Office.
