Leicester Tigers’ technical partner SAMURAI have become the latest partner to extend their partnership to the club’s women’s team for the 2022/23 season.
Hot on the heels of the news that Tigers will be playing in the Women’s Championship next season, SAMURAI have joined club partners Häfele in showing their support.
The women’s team will play in the same home shirt design as the men’s team but will have different change kit and training options, opening more opportunities for sponsorship and retail sales to help support funding of the squad and also the club’s programme for developing girls’ and women’s rugby.
Vicky Macqueen, head of women’s rugby at Leicester Tigers, said: “One of the first things we needed to sort out for the team was the kit and the feedback from Oval Park is overwhelmingly positive about SAMURAI. They have a huge range of options and fits which we are looking forward to helping in the development of women’s teams.”

Supporters will be able to see the women’s team in league action from early September, with replica women’s training and change kit available from their first match.
