Telusa Veainu says the opportunity to share an Island-style UMU feast with Player Sponsors, 1880 Club members and Box Holders is a "special" experience for him and fellow Pacific Islanders in the Leicester Tigers squad.
Speaking during the annual event at Oval Park ahead of the new season, the Tongan international spoke to LTTV about the twist on this year's gathering and decision to bring in former Tigers Henry and Freddie Tuilagi to cook up an UMU feast for guests, as well as how much the support means to the playing group and why they wanted to give back on behalf of the squad.
"Without them, none of this could happen," Veainu said.
"For us to give them something back, like today's UMU, is quite special."
