Leicester Tigers have agreed a new deal with Dan Richardson.

The front-rower has made nine appearances for the club since his debut in November 2021.

Richardson joined Tigers from Jersey Reds ahead of the 2021/22 season after two years with the Championship club.

He previously represented National One side Fylde and then spent a season with Rotherham before joining Jersey in 2019.

Richardson has spent time on loan with Nottingham during his time at Tigers.

Speaking about the renewal, Leicester Tigers Head Coach Richard Wigglesworth said: “I am pleased for Dan that he has got this new deal, which he has earned through his hard work.”

“Dan has progressed well since arriving in Leicester and worked hard on his game here and with Nottingham through the partnership programme.

“He is a young prop who has a lot of ahead him and is only going to get better working under tutelage of Tom Harrison here at Leicester Tigers.”

Discussing the new deal, Richardson said: “I feel like I can continue to best develop as a player here with the coaches at the club and the quality of player around me."

“Improving my game is what I want to keep doing while also making sure I am contributing to the squad and the club.

“Hopefully I can keep making steps forward and competing for a place in the side.”
