Squad settling in nicely, says Chuter

George Chuter says Leicester Tigers' summer arrivals are quickly settling into life at the club.

Tigers are on a pre-season training camp near Brive in France this week as they step up their preparations for the start of the Aviva Premiership Rugby campaign next month.

The week’s work concludes with a game against Top 14 side Brive on Friday evening (8pm local time).

And Tigers and England international hooker Chuter, speaking from the training camp, says the squad is shaping up nicely.

And he says new arrivals – Horacio Agulla, Pete Bucknall, Rob Hawkins, Lee Robinson, George Skivington and Thomas Waldrom –– are quickly settling in at the club.

“The squad is looking good,” said Chuter, who has been named in Martin Johnson’s EPS squad for this season after playing in England’s two Tests against Australia in the summer.

“A lot of the guys have had four or five weeks already having come back at the end of June and are familiar with what is required.

“The new guys have bought into the work ethic. Everyone is doing well and we have had some very good sessions. There is a lot of emphasis on hard work as we build up to the game (against Brive) on Friday.”
