Leicester Tigers supporters will have the chance to sample a taste of Germany when Welford Road hosts STIHL Oktoberfest later this month.

The festivities, supported by official partner STIHL, return to the home of the Tigers on Sunday, October 27 ahead of the Gallagher Premiership fixture with Saracens (kick-off 3.00pm).

The plaza in front of the Holland & Barrett Stand, The Final Whistle Bar and other bars across the stadium will undergo an Oktoberfest makeover, with Bavarian beers and German-themed food available for fans ahead of the opening home fixture of the league campaign.

The German Jukebox Oompah Band will also be performing on the plaza ahead of the match from 12.30pm and will lead the post-match entertainment, while supporters can also try out the rodeo rugby ball challenge and batak reaction machine.

The club’s roadshow vehicle The Maul will also be on hand to provide pre-match fun for all the family, as at every Welford Road matchday. More details of the Oktoberfest celebrations will be released in the lead-up to the game, so keep an eye on club channels to keep up to date with latest news.
