The Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Team are looking for supporters' help to gain new funding and help grow the sport and attract new players.

The wheelchair team, under the Tigers Foundation umbrella, is taking part in the Aviva Community Fund, a nationwide initiative set up by the title sponsors of Premiership Rugby to offer support for local causes, with the public voting for projects to receive funding of up to £25,000.

The Tigers Foundation is aiming to secure up to £1,000 which will go towards Saturday morning sessions designed to encourage wheelchair users to have a go at the sport.

The money will also go towards maintaining the team’s equipment, the purchase of new gear and the hiring of training facilities.
