The shortlist for the Leicester Tigers Supporters’ Awards can now be revealed, with voting open from this Friday.

Supporters’ Awards night is at Welford Road on Tuesday, May 1, when the winners will be announced in the company of the first-team squad, coaching team and supporters.

Ellis Genge (Young Player and Newcomer), Telusa Veainu (Try of the Season), Freddie Burns (Player) and Dan Cole (Outstanding Service) were the winners in 2016/17, with the Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Team receiving the Tigers Family award.

Genge is nominated again in the Young Player category alongside Will Evans and scrum-half duo Harry Simmons and Ben White.

The award for Newcomer of the Season will be contested by Jonah Holmes, Sione Kalamafoni, Nick Malouf, Jonny May and Tatafu Polota-Nau, while Tom Croft is among the nominations for the Outstanding Service prize.

Previous winner Telusa Veainu is nominated in the Player of the Year category alongside Greg Bateman, Jonny May and Matt Toomua.

Tickets for Supporters Awards Night are still available, priced £60 for season ticket holders and £80 for all other supporters, including a three-course meal with a Tigers player at your table, big-name interviews, video presentations and your chance to vote for your Try of the Season.

Nominations are also open now for the #TigersFamily Award which recognises supporters who have made a significant contribution, made a major impact or overcome significant obstacles to show their commitment to the club or celebrate its links in the community.
