Mathew Tait says Leicester Tigers sights are firmly set on a top four finish in the Aviva Premiership despite the disappointment of seeing their five-match winning run end at Saracens.Leicester slipped to fifth in the Aviva Premiership table following the 22-6 defeat to Sarries at Allianz Park on Saturday, Tigers’ first defeat in the league since January.
But Tait says Tigers are focused on taking as many points as possible from their final three games of the regular season– starting with London Welsh at Welford Road on Saturday, April 25 – and securing a place in the Premiership Rugby play-offs for an 11th successive year.
“It’s a blow to lose to a team that you are in the mix with, but there is still plenty to aim for,” said Tait. “We have to focus on the remaining three fixtures and ensure that we come away with as many points as we can.
“A home semi-final may have gone but we have to give ourselves the best chance of getting into the play-offs by picking up as many points as we can over the last three games.”
Tickets for the visit of London Welsh are on sale now from the Tigers ticket office from the Welford Road ticket office, on 0116 319 8888 and online by clicking here
