Tamworth Rugby Club hosts the second festival in this season's Prima Tiger Cup on Sunday.
Supported by Prima Solutions of Loughborough, the Prima Tiger Cup is a free-to-enter contact-based fun event open to all clubs at under-10 level.
The event takes place over four festivals covering the Tigers academy region and beyond. In these festivals the Tigers will be looking to identify clubs who demonstrate the true ethos of the game under our event criteria in keeping with the RFU Age Grade Rules and guidelines.
This weekend’s teams represent Ashby, Barton, Bourneville, Lichfield, Sandbach, Shrewsbury, Silhillians, Stoke, Syston and hosts Tamworth, with Tigers and Italy prop Michele Rizzo set to join them for the day in Staffordshire.
Selected clubs from the festivals will be invited to participate in a series of games to be held at a later date at Welford Road stadium, providing a fantastic experience to young players.
Attracting more than 70 entries each season, the Prima Tiger Cup is the largest and most prestigious single-age playing opportunity in the rugby calendar.
This season’s remaining area festivals are at Lutterworth RFC (October 9) and Mellish RFC (October 16).
