Team news | Murphy makes late change to Tigers side

Leicester Tigers head coach Geordan Murphy has made a change to his bench for the Gallagher Premiership fixture against London Irish in Round 4 of this season's competition at the Madejski Stadium.

Murphy has added size to his squad with the inclusion of back-rower Ifereimi Boladau to his bench in place of outside-back Sam Aspland-Robinson, who makes way for the Fijian.

Boladau's inclusion means the Tigers bench will be a 6-2 split for the showdown with The Exiles, with scrum-half Ben White and the versatile George Worth acting as the only replacements for Leicester back-line.

Murphy's team remains otherwise unchanged, including the starting side, from the matchday squad named on Friday afternoon.

The Tigers team includes Jordan Taufua, who arrived in Leicester only a week ago after completing a successful end to his time in New Zealand rugby with a Mitre10 Cup trophy win to add to his Super Rugby title claimed earlier in 2019.

Taufua's inclusion at No.8 sees Sione Kalamafoni shift to blind-side flanker in place of the injured Hanro Liebenberg.

In the only other changes to the Tigers team which defeated Gloucester in Round 3, Jonah Holmes starts at fullback after Telusa Veainu was ruled out through concussion, with Adam Thompstone coming into the backline on the right wing. In the forwards, Joe Heyes starts at tighthead prop in a straight swap for Nephi Leatigaga.
