"These are the big games you want to play for," says Marcos Ayerza as he looked ahead to Leicester Tigers' run-in to the Aviva Premiership season.Currently working his way back from the hamstring injury he sustained at Sarries, Ayerza was announced as the Goldsmiths Player of the Month during half-time of Saturday’s win over London Welsh.   He admits to being a frustrated spectator of Tigers games and says his recovery from injury is progressing well.   “I always look forward to this time of the year,” says the popular Tigers and Argentina prop. “These are the big games that you want play for.   “Bright, sunny days, quick rugby and everything to play for. It’s frustrating to be injured and to see the team from the outside.   “Initially, I thought it was a season-ending injury, but there is progression and the medical department at Tigers is working so hard.   “I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself but every day that passes my leg is feeling better.”   Ayerza joins Mathew Tait, Sam Harrison, Graham Kitchener, Julian Salvi, Jamie Gibson and Harry Thacker as winners of the Goldsmiths Player of the Month this season.   “I am very happy with the award,” he said. “I am honoured to be voted by the supporters as the Goldsmiths Player of the Month.”   The Tigers Player of the Month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK, who are also official East Stand sponsors and official timekeepers.
