Leicester Tigers led 25-3 at half-time in their final pre-season fixture against French visitors Montauban at Welford Road.
The hosts took just a couple of minutes to get on the scoresheet with Tom Varndell finishing off good work in the left-hand corner by skipper Owen Finegan and Tom Croft for the opening try.
Tigers added a penalty try after fierce pressure at a close-range scrum, then Croft capitalised on a long pass from Andy Goode to grab the third try of the afternoon. Goode also kicked two penalties and two conversions.
Montauban, who enjoyed some decent possession in the second part of the opening period, only had a penalty from fly-half Fabien Fortassin to show for their efforts.
