Leicester Tigers and Marcus De England will be working on a collaborative partnership that will see the London and Leicester-based shoe brand produce exclusive footwear for the team and supporters.
Designed in London and worn all over the world, Marcus De re-interprets classics with a modern twist handcrafted by artisans and Master Shoemakers in England.
Boots will be provided to the playing squad as part of their official formalwear with each boot inscribed with the individual player’s heritage number.
This heritage number is the number assigned to them when they make their first appearance for Leicester Tigers and dates back to the club’s founding year 1880.
The Boot will be displayed in The Club Shop and available to purchase online for supporters either with or without the ‘1880’ inscription and bearing the new “TIGERS T” logo on the back.
The company was founded by Master Shoemaker Miguel de Almeida and is named in honour of his grandfather, the original Marcus de Almeida.
On the announcement, he said: “As a lifelong rugby fan, it’s a honour to be working with the Leicester Tigers, one of the true Greats. The club has a rich history and it’s fantastic to be collaborating with them on this exciting project”
Mark Davies, head of business development at Leicester Tigers added: “It’s fantastic to be able to build new partnerships with businesses that are keen to explore new ways of working. Marcus De are a company which prides itself on its heritage and we’re proud to be able to combine our own history with a unique product.”

The support of each of the club’s partners throughout the pandemic has been even more vital at a time when matchday and stadium revenues have been halted.
The commitment of partners allows Tigers to resource not only the playing squad but also continue its important role in the community.
