Tigers fans who signed up for next year at Welford Road with a 2014/15 season ticket before March 23 were entered into the competition to win a once-in-a-lifetime prize.
The package courtesy of StubHub, Tigers' official ticketing marketplace, included a behind-the-scenes tour at the training ground, lunch with the squad, VIP matchday hospitality for the fixture against London Wasps, a chance to have a photo taken on the pitch at half-time and VIP tickets to the Supporters Awards Dinner to present one of the awards to a Tigers favourite.
David Kettle, his wife Claire and their children Jamie and Tegan, who all sit in the MET-Rx Stand, were delighted when their names were drawn out as the StubHub Ultimate Season Ticket Experience winners.
David, of Hinckley, said: “We bought our season tickets on the Sunday, before the Exeter game, and to get the phone call to say we had won was very surprising indeed. We’re absolutely delighted.
“I’m not sure what we’re looking forward to most as all the bits are fantastic. We’re looking forward to meeting the players at the training ground, presenting an award, that should be a good night and we have not been to that before and we’re looking forward to the hospitality side of the matchday experience.”
David added: “Claire has been going to Welford Road for 25 years and I have been going since 2002 and we have been taking the children since 2003.
“We’ve had season tickets for the last six years or so. It’s the one thing we do together through the year. It’s a great family experience that we love."
