Tigers Development XV select strong side

Leicester Tigers Development XV begin their 2007/08 season with a trip to Cambridge University on Monday evening.

The match is in preparation for the new Guinness A League campaign which kicks off on Monday, October 27 with a home tie against Leeds Carnegie at Welford Road (kick-off 7pm).

You can pick up your voucher to gain free entry for up to four guests for that match at this Saturday’s first-team clash with Worcester. Vouchers are available at the turnstiles. Free admission is included in a season ticket, while members and guests can gain free admission by completing the form on the back of the voucher. Tickets are just £5 to non-members and £1 for juniors.

The team to face Cambridge includes a mix of youth and experience, with Andy Goode starting at fly-half and Alex Moreno captaining the side from loose-head prop. Gavin Hickie makes his long-awaited return from the shoulder injury he picked up in the victory away at Sale on Good Friday, while Matt Cornwell and Ayoola Erinle form an exciting centre partnership.

Tom Croft, Dave Young and Christophe Lassucq add further first-team experience, with Ian Humphreys named among the replacements.

Chris Mundy, Rob Bell, and Jeremy Saxon make up a youthful back row, while the back three of Mitch Culpin, Nathaniel Lowers and Greig Tonks shows a similar forward-looking approach.
