Tigers double-header this weekend

Enjoy a double-header and share in some Leicester Tigers history at Welford Road this weekend.

The current Caterpillar Stand opens its doors for the final time and Tigers will bring down the curtain on more than 90 years of service with two high-profile matches.

Sale Sharks are the visitors to Welford Road for Saturday’s Guinness Premiership game (5pm kick-off). Both sides are firmly in the hunt for play-off places and, with just three fixtures remaining in the Guinness Premiership league season, every point is vital.

Phone the Tigers ticket hotline on 08701 28 34 30, call in at Welford Road, email [email protected] or book online.

Then on Sunday the Tigers Academy are in action when they take on Scotland Under-18s at Welford Road.

Tigers Academy have enjoyed a successful season on the pitch and have also seen players like Dan Hemingway and Calum Green come through to make their senior debut.

The next generation of Tigers stars will be involved in the latest high-profile Academy fixture, which follows their 38-10 win over Wales Under-18s in February and last season’s victory over an otherwise unbeaten England Under-18s.

Academy manager Neil McCarthy said: “The game against Scotland is a fantastic fixture. It gives us an opportunity to showcase the Academy and it is the last game at Welford Road in its current capacity.”

The game kicks off at noon at Welford Road and admission is free.
