School teachers across Leicestershire have a handy new tool to help enhance their lessons in the Premiership Rugby Champions App.
Leicester Tigers rugby development officers deliver a number of education programmes in schools across the county, which are supported by the app providing a useful tool for teachers to utilise during lessons.
Tackling Health is a six-week programme which educates youngsters about the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Alongside Tackling Numeracy and Tackling Character, teachers can access lesson plans and resources via the app and deliver them directly to students.
David McDonald, education and engagement manager at Leicester Tigers, said: “We’re lucky to have strong community department here at Welford Road, delivering programmes in schools, clubs and to under-represented groups across the UK.
“We want as many schools and teachers to be able to access our curriculum-based programmes and the Premiership Rugby Champions app helps us to deliver this.
“Packed with video, presentations, interactive quizzes and much more, we can ensure that Tigers is helping to educate the next generation.”
