Tigers Family return to Welford Road

Leicester Tigers supporters returned to Welford Road to enjoy live coverage of the team’s Gallagher Premiership clash with Gloucester on Sunday.

Members of the Tigers Family enjoyed socially-distanced coverage of the match, as well as exclusive content from inside the club camp in the club’s Premiership Suite.

A young Tigers team went to Kingsholm in Round 17 of the Premiership season looking for back-to-back wins after midweek victory over London Irish, though six first-half scores left them with it all to do after the break.

But supporters at Welford Road were on the edge of their seats as the men in green, white and red fought back to within six points of their hosts, only for Gloucester to get their noses over the line with a late score of their own.

Earlier in the afternoon, fans had heard exclusively from director of rugby Geordan Murphy ahead of the fixture, and dialled in to a half-time Zoom call with travelling reserve Ben White to hear his insight on the first 40 minutes.

And there were goodies on offer, too, with Tigers supporters Denise Peasgood and Amanda Bee winning a signed shirt and Tigers hamper respectively for their closest entries in the ‘first try-scorer’ competition.

Supporters can get just as close to the action with live coverage of Tigers’ Gallagher Premiership trip to Wasps on Wednesday, September 9 (5.30pm). Doors open at 3.30pm.

Tickets are available for £45 per person, with supporters seated at tables of four to six people from the same family or social bubble.

A complimentary drink is included, plus table-served food for the whole party. A cash bar is also available.
