Tigers fan Guy takes #TigerHunt to Alaska

Leicester Tigers supporter Guy Orton submitted this #Tigerhunt photo after a challenge with his brother Hugh.

The lifelong Tigers fans set each other the target of coming up with the best #Tigerhunt photo, with 20-year-old Guy sending these of him hanging over a 100ft-deep  crevasse in Alaska via Twitter.

“Naturally, I thought what a great opportunity to wear my Tigers shirt, to my brother’s jealousy.”

Guy, of Derbyshire, said: “Hugh has recently married Siera, who is an American, and so my family along with her family decided to gate-crash the honeymoon and visit her home town before we set off on a one-week cruise to Alaska, Canada.

“I’ve been travelling with my mum and dad, Jane and Giles, as well as Siera’s mum, Suzanne and younger siblings Dante, Andres and Bella.

“I was lucky enough to go trekking to Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska, where I was given the opportunity to hang over a 100ft-deep crevasse.

“Naturally, I thought what a great opportunity to wear my Tigers shirt – to my brother’s jealousy.”

“I was safely strapped on but still nervous. I also feared for the cameraman, my dad Giles, as one wrong step and he could fall!

“We’ve supported Tigers our whole life – even recently convincing Siera and her family to follow Tigers.

“As a family, we try to visit Welford Road once a month, and with my brother and I now living down south, we have been very good away supporters too.”

Supporters can get involved in our #TigerHunt by sharing their photos in Tigers colours this summer. Email photos to [email protected], tweet @LeicesterTigers using the hashtag #TigerHunt, or share with @LeicesterTigers on Instagram or post to the Leicester Tigers Facebook page.
