Tigers Foundation heritage project update

Leicester Tigers history speaks for itself. Ten league titles, five English cups, three Anglo-Welsh cups and two back-to-back European titles.

Recognising the club’s history is a part of the work of the Leicester Tigers Foundation, which works to support community projects for fans, groups and people from all walks of life.

Last year it was announced that Tigers would be honouring the 100 Barbarians and 46 Leicester Tigers who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the two World Wars with a heritage monument thanks to donations from supporters and the Tigers Foundation.

Fans have since been supporting the £250,000 project with the help of donations for Leicester Tigers Foundation Crown - a limited edition coin which commemorates the heritage project.

Due to the on-going hotel and car park development plans, the club is now working towards 2019 Q4 which will feature the two magnificent bronze tigers set on to an Art Deco Corten Steel base.

Leicester Tigers will be commemorating 100 years since the end of World War 1 this coming season on Armistice Day. More details around this will be shared once fixtures for the 2018/19 season have been announced.

Supporters can still obtain Leicester Tigers Foundation Crowns – which includes the supporter’s name being etched on the base of the monument as well as an invite to the unveiling.
