The Leicester Tigers Foundation will show its support for Comic Relief at Saturday's Aviva Premiership game with Exeter Chiefs at Welford Road, as it begins the task of raising £20,000 for the charity before the end of season.Comic Relief already helps to fund the Tigers Hitz programme through its partnership with Premiership Rugby. The award-winning Hitz is run as part of the Tigers Foundation and tackles some of the biggest challenges facing young people today – unemployment, crime and disillusionment.
HITZ uses rugby to increase young people’s resilience, self-reliance and confidence. It gives them the skills to get back into education, vocational training, apprenticeships and employment. Click here for more details.
The Foundation will hold collections for Comic Relief around the Welford Road stadium and fans can make donations at the Tigers ticket office, in the public bars or by making a donation to the Foundation by clicking here.
Members of the Tigers squad have signed Comic Relief red noses which will be auctioned online to help raise money. Tigers will announce through the club’s official communications channels when the auction goes live.
There will also be collections at the Land Rover Premiership Cup at Oakham RFC on Sunday. Details on the competition for under-11s and under-12s teams are available by clicking here.
