3aaa hosted some of its past and present apprentices at Welford Road this week to celebrate its work throughout Leicester.

The apprenticeship provider and official partner of Leicester Tigers staged the event in support of National Apprenticeship Week, designed to celebrate the positive impact apprenticeships have on local individuals, local businesses and the Leicester economy.

The evening event included drop-in sessions with 3aaa for young people looking to take the first steps in their working career and for employers looking to recruit their future workforce.

Guests were joined by Leicester Tigers players including Mike Williams, Will Evans, Jack Roberts and Michele Rizzo, who met and chatted with former and current apprentices.

Jim Horne, regional manager at 3aaa who covers the Leicester academy area, said: “It was a fantastic evening and having some of the Tigers stars along added even more to an already brilliant night.

“As one of the leading apprenticeship providers in the country, we have been supporting National Apprenticeship Week which is about raising awareness of the value of apprenticeships, as well as allowing us to celebrate all the work our past and present apprentices at 3aaa Leicester have and are doing.

“It was a fantastic evening and a great platform for all those involved to meet and share their insight. Welford Road is an outstanding venue for events like this and gives the evening a real sense of occasion. It’s great to have the support of Leicester Tigers as we develop the next generation.”

The Leicester 3aaa Apprenticeships academy has supported more than 1,800 people to start their career with an apprenticeship since opening in 2013 and continues to grow and develop courses to benefit apprentices and employers.
