Tigers join the fun at the Lincolnshire Show

The sun shone as the Leicester Tigers roadshow vehicle, The Maul, joined tens of thousands of people at the 134th Lincolnshire Show.

There were an estimated 60,000 visitors to the show across Wednesday and Thursday, with many visiting the Tigers roadshow team.

Dom McGeever, Tigers marketing executive, said: “It was a fantastic two days at the Lincolnshire Show. We were really lucky with the weather and that helped put a smile on everyone’s faces.

“We had loads of visitors to The Maul and there was huge interest when we took our Balls of STIHL challenge into the ring.

“And what was noticeable was just how many Tigers shirts there were at the show. It was great to see so much support for the Tigers.”

Visitors to The Maul were able to take on the Fordy’s Kicking Challenge, the tackle bag and Welford’s Wheel. They were also able to get a memento of their day in the photo booth.

The Balls of STIHL challenge, in association with Tigers sponsors STIHL, saw STIHL-branded rugby balls pumped into the sky and visitors who were able to catch one were able to take it home as a souvenir.

The Maul will be at Coalville RFC on Saturday for the Hope Festival, a music festival in support of Tigers official charity Hope Against Cancer. Click here for more details and to support the event.

The Maul will then join thousands of visitors to the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Click here for show details.
