Leicester Tigers will be playing in front of a second successive sell-out crowd when they face Bath Rugby at Welford Road on Sunday afternoon.

After earning a draw against Harlequins at Twickenham last weekend, Tigers have confirmed that Sunday’s match against Bath is a 17,500 sell-out.

“The-post Christmas period  is an expensive time of year for supporters and, with the game also being shown live on Sky Sports, we are delighted to kick off 2009 with a capacity crowd at Welford Road,” said Leicester Tigers managing director David Clayton.

“We have a tremendously loyal support base and there is always a great demand for tickets. That is why the first phase of redevelopment of the stadium is now under way and will take capacity up to 24,500 next season.

“We have already received a lot of interest in season tickets for when the new Caterpillar Stand is in operation for next season.”

Tigers have launched a Get On The List campaign for supporters to ensure they receive the best tickets when the stadium boasts an enlarged capacity next season. You can get on the list via the club website at www.leicestertigers.com

The next home game is against Italian visitors Benetton Treviso in the Heineken Cup on Saturday, January 17 (3pm). Tickets are available now and Tigers are offering the opportunity for supporters to bring the Kids for a Quid as a special new year treat. Contact the Tigers ticket office on 08701 28 34 30 or call in at Welford Road.
