Leicester Tigers have launched a new-look home kit for the coming season.
The team will defend their Guinness Premiership title in a kit showing a return to red, white and green hooped shirts, together with the logo of main club sponsors Caterpillar, and green shorts.
The first-team squad launched the new look at the headquarters of Caterpillar in Desford, Leicestershire on Friday.
Leicester Tigers managing director David Clayton said: “We believe the new home shirt will be a hit with supporters.
“The design we have selected very much reflects the history and tradition of Tigers in a modern and appealing style.
“We market-tested the shirt and it also received a thumbs up from our Supporters’ Forum.
“We are delighted to launch our new shirt at the headquarters of Caterpillar. Our first season with Caterpillar as main sponsor was tremendously successful and we look forward to building on that success in the years ahead.”
Robert Droogleever, Caterpillar managing director, building construction products, Europe, said: “Team Caterpillar are thrilled to host Tigers new shirt launch event at our world class Customer Visitor Centre here in Leicester.
“Many customers and employees enjoyed the Tigers match day experiences last season and were excited by the impressive achievements of the Tigers team. Hosting the New kit launch is a fantastic way to kick-start the second season of the Caterpillar sponsorship.”
Among the first to model the new look were internationals Aaron Mauger, Louis Deacon, George Chuter, Jordan Crane and Martin Castrogiovanni, who wore the kit at the launch event.
Replica shirts, featuring a traditional-style collar, are available now from the Tigers Club Shop, in a full range of sizes from babies, children, youths, ladies and adults, long and short sleeves. For ladies, the shirt is available in a specially tailored style.
Call in at the Tigers Club Shop at Welford Road or the city centre store at Market Street, Leicester, or shop online and be among the first to sport the new-style shirt.
