Tigers name team for Edinburgh

Figure image
Tigers head coach Marcelo Loffreda has named 12 of the players who started last weekend's win over Harlequins for this Saturday's trip to Edinburgh in the Heineken Cup.

Brett Deacon, Julian White and George Chuter are the three changes to the starting XV, with the former Argentina coach otherwise sticking with the same side that recorded a comprehensive 42-13 victory in South West London last Sunday.

Deacon comes in at blindside flanker and Chuter is named at hooker. White starts in the front row after recovering from flu, while Frank Murphy is fit enough to be named among the replacements having also missed last weekend’s match due to the same virus. Dan Hipkiss also returns to the squad after being ruled out of the trip to The Stoop through a groin injury.

Alex Moreno takes White’s place on the bench, with Jordan Crane and Marco Wentzel also brought into the matchday 22.

Lewis Moody misses out through injury, as do Alesana Tuilagi, Seru Rabeni, Boris Stankovich, Richard Blaze, Martin Castrogiovanni, Luke Abraham and Harry Ellis. Centre Matt Cornwell returned to training this week as he continues his recovery from a back injury.
