Marcelo Loffreda is braced for another clash of the titans when his Leicester Tigers team step out to face Toulouse in the Heineken Cup on Sunday.
Tigers won the opening match in the back-to-back series in Pool 6, with an Ollie Smith try guiding them towards a 14-9 victory at Welford Road last Saturday. But now another challenge awaits in France, where Toulouse are unbeaten this season.
Tigers won the opening match in the back-to-back series in Pool 6, with an Ollie Smith try guiding them towards a 14-9 victory at Welford Road last Saturday. But now another challenge awaits in France, where Toulouse are unbeaten this season.
"The win last Saturday gives us confidence but that is not over-confidence," said Tigers head coach Loffreda. "We have to try to play our game and try to impose ourselves.
"The Heineken Cup is one of the top competitions in rugby. There are talented, world-class players in every team and that makes it so interesting and so competitive.
"We know Toulouse are a very strong team and we will have to be at our best. We have to be mentally tough for this game."
Scrum-half Frank Murphy was among those who took knocks in the home win last Saturday, but Loffreda said: "We had some bruises in the squad, some minor injuries, but nothing very serious."
