Hours after the final sounded on Sunday’s Heineken Cup game against Scarlets than Tigers coaches were working with young players in Holland.
The coaches have been putting 91 players aged from five to 18 through their paces during the week-long course, the first Tigers have held on mainland Europe.
Matt Roper, rugby coaching coordinator at British School in the Netherlands, said: “Tigers are reaching the children a range of skills, focused on handling skills and a little bit of fitness work.
“Today they are introducing the contact to the players. Now they are starting to refine their tackling skills. The children will receive an assessment of their performance.
“This is going to be something that the children will remember for some time to come.”
Tigers have also been holding a Rugby Course a little closer to home this week at Leicester Forest RFC.
More than 40 young players have been working on their game and polishing their skills under the watchful eye of Tigers coaches.
Tigers will visit Diss RFC in Norfolk from Monday to Friday next week for another half-term rugby course. Places are available and you can join in the Diss course by booking online or download the application form and bring it with you to registration on Monday morning (9.30am).
