Leicester Tigers will get their first taste of action of the summer on Saturday when they take part in the Aviva Premiership Rugby 7s.
Tigers take on Newcastle Falcons, Sale Sharks and London Welsh at Darlington’s Northern Echo Arena.
The Group D fixtures had been due to be staged at Kingston Park but work on a new 3G artificial pitch at the Falcons’ home meant a change of venue.
Tigers kick off against the Falcons at 7.15pm. They play London Welsh in their second game and complete their fixtures against Sale Sharks.
The Tigers team is due to be announced at noon on Thursday.
Tickets are available priced £10 adults and concessions and £5 for under-16s on 0871 2266060, and from the Newcastle Falcons and Darlington Mowden Park ticket offices. The action will be shown live on BT Sport.
The top two teams from Group D will join the top two teams from the three other groups in the Series Final at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday, August 8.
Cardiff Blues and Newport Gwent Dragons were the first teams to book their places in the Finals after Saturday’s Group A fixtures at Cardiff Arms Park. The sides were unbeaten, drawing 19-19 in their head-to-head, with Cardiff eventually topping the group by a point from the Dragons.
Group B will be held at Kingsholm on Thursday. It features hosts and defending Premiership Rugby 7s holders Gloucester Rugby in a pool containing Bath Rugby, Exeter Chiefs and London Irish.
Northampton Saints welcome Harlequins, London Wasps and Saracens to their Franklin’s Gardens home for the Group C fixtures on Friday, August 1.
