Tigers sponsors take on 100-mile charity bike ride

A team of cyclists from club sponsors Global Payments braved the flaming June heat to cycle 100 miles from Welford Road to Warwick Castle and back to their Leicester head office.

The Global Peddlars set off Welford Road at 7.30am on Friday and took on the gruelling 100-mile route in temperatures over 20C.

The bike ride is in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, which has been nominated by Global Payments employees as their company charity for this year. Click here to support the team.

The peloton consisted of Angela Halford, Sarah Hayes, Phil Jones, Donovan Stenning, Steve Brannan, Andy Cope, Pete Preocanin, Joe Thorpe, Stiaan Scheepers, Darren Hill and Jeff Sloan.

Global Payments, a leading worldwide payments technology provider, will have their name on the number patch on first-team shirts in the coming season and they support the work of the Tigers community team and their Healthy Schools programme.
