Tigers Family enjoying summer R&R

While international rugby is in full swing all over the globe, with several current and future Tigers players featuring for their nations on tour in South Africa to North America and Fiji in between, there are many others making the most of the holiday break before pre-season training begins at the end of June ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

So, in order to keep you updated on the travel of your Tigers Family, we have scanned social media for a look at where in the world the Leicester lads are enjoying some R&R.

Telusa Veainu has enjoyed the summer months in the United States of America alongside partner Alia, who the Tongan fullback announced was pregnant with the couples first child via Instagram on June 10. They have enjoyed a glamorous trip in the famous hills of Hollywood which suits the Tigers star, given his own celebrity status among Leicester fans.

New Zealand born Brendon O’Connor returned to New Zealand for the first time since his arrival in the East Midlands almost three years ago for his wedding, which the Tigers back-rower celebrated with family and friends including former team mate Lachlan McCaffrey.

Joe Ford, who welcomed his first child Kobe during the 2017/18 season, celebrated six months as a Dad just days before Father’s Day in Spain with his family and will undoubtedly be searching for a local establishment broadcasting the tour of South Africa to see brother George in action alongside fellow clubmen Jonny May, Ellis Genge and Ben Youngs.

Zimbabwean Mike Williams has also embraced the time off with a trip to his home country, visiting his “special family” and sharing snaps from the getaway for fans via Instagram.

Greg Bateman has also embraced the break to spend quality time with his young children, as the fan-favourite has shown with posts on Instagram enjoying pool days with the youngsters in Greece.

Hinckley-local Sam Harrison, another to have welcomed a new addition to his young family during the season, unsurprisingly headed for the beach when the sunshine arrived and posted the first family photo of his now five-strong clan from the sand at Cornwall alongside wife Brodie.

Manu Tuilagi, who was not considered for selection by England coach Eddie Jones for the series against the Springboks, has also taken the chance to getaway to warmer climates and shared a photo of he and partner Chantelle from Spain. The pair, like a handful of his Tigers team mates, were also recently blessed with the arrival of a newborn child during the final months of the recent season.

The break has also seen a chance for some running repairs to take place ahead of next season, including back-rower Will Evans who didn’t let a leg operation - or the crutches required following the procedure - stop him enjoying the summer sun with partner Becki on the Greek Islands.

Some of the next generation of Tigers stars have also enjoyed European travels, including the five Development Squad members strutting their stuff on the U20s international stage at this season’s Junior World Championship which wraps up this weekend with the final featuring England and host nation France.

Tigers fans are also enjoying the warm weather all over the world, while continuing to show the club’s colours and their support by sharing their travel snaps on social media via #TigerHunt and by using the Official Tigers Mobile App and its photo-sharing function.

Download the App for FREE today from the Apple and Android stores to share your summer photos with the Tigers Family.
