In the week celebrating International Women’s Day 2019, Leicester Tigers joined local businesses across the region to celebrate the achievements of business women in this year’s regional awards. 

Representatives from Leicester Tigers were on hand to present the ‘Team of the Year’ award at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce (EMCC) Enterprising Women Award 2019.  

The awards ceremony, which took place in Derbyshire, celebrates the success of business women in the region and was hosted by ITV Central News presenter Sameena Ali-Khan.

Cammy Philippon-Thomas, Molly Smith and Lucy Cayliss from Leicester Tigers corporate sales team presented the award to Primary Live, a live communication, exhibition and events company based in Market Harborough. 

Other awards from the evening included Business Woman of the Year, Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Social Commitment Award.

Leicester Tigers has a strong relationship with the EMCC with the club’s commercial director Andrea Pinchen a part of its recent mentoring programme for young women starting out in business across the East Midlands.
