Leicester Tigers have announced they will be running another residential camp this summer as part of the club's Rugby Course programme.

Following the success of last year’s course, Tigers will return to Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire from August 8-12.

A £2.9million Centre for Sport & Fitness is the focal point of the college's new Sports Village which will host the Rugby Course and accommodate the players. It includes a state-of-the-art fitness suite, 4G artificial turf pitch and outdoor grass pitches and sports hall.

“Last year’s course at Bishop Burton College was a huge success and we are delighted to be returning again this summer,” said Matt Williams, Tigers senior rugby development officer.

“The course is an outstanding opportunity for young and ambitious rugby players aged under-13 to under-18 who have aspirations to develop their game further.

“Tigers coaches run a full week’s coaching focussed on improving their skills, game understanding and strength and conditioning.

“Players can expect to be pushed to the limit and it will be a great opportunity to see what it would be like to spend a week as an elite rugby player.”
