After losing the opening summer fixture against Montpelier in France, Tigers recorded a 38-3 victory over Welford Road visitors Lyon last Saturday and have a final run-out at Meadow Lane this evening.
Director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: “We’ve had fewer games this summer because we have players away with the international squads and we’re working with a smaller group. We’ll stick with the bulk of the side that was involved against Lyon and we’ll take a look at some of the things we need to work on.
“Going to Nottingham is a good work-out for us, we’ll send a strong side and then we have a nine-day turnaround for the first game of the new season against Exeter.”
Tigers provide second successive Aviva Premiership opposition for Nottingham following last week’s 49-10 defeat away to Harlequins.
Nottingham director of rugby Glenn Delaney, who included former Tigers centre Ayoola Erinle in his team at Quins, said: “We conceded way too many turnovers but we played some good stuff and grew in confidence as we started to string some decent attacking plays together.”
Kick-off at Meadow Lane is at 7.45pm. Tickets will be available at the stadium.
